Plate honeycomb ceramic is a composite honeycomb ceramic heat storage body with a "T" shaped internal structure design, replacing the original "ten" shaped square hole structure arrangement of ordinary honeycomb ceramics, solving the problem of hole blockage during product use; At the same time, the internal honeycomb holes have a connected structure, increasing porosity, reducing airflow pressure drop, improving the gas distribution on the entire cross-section, making the gas distribution more uniform, and improving the heat recovery efficiency of the equipment.
Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly device used to treat low- and medium-concentration volatile organic waste gas.
Working principle: The basic principle of RTO equipment is to oxidize organic waste gas at high temperature (≥760°C) to generate CO2 and H2O, which are then removed. A typical two-bed RTO body structure consists of a combustion chamber, two ceramic packed beds and four switching valves. The regenerative ceramic packed bed heat exchanger in the device can recover the heat energy to the limit, and the heat recovery rate is greater than 95%; no or little fuel is used in the treatment of VOC.
The unique advantages of plate-type honeycomb ceramics used in RTOs:
1. Plate type honeycomb ceramics have strong anti-clogging properties.
2. The special formula of the side wall cement of the plate-type honeycomb ceramic module can be opened by thermal shock and release the thermal stress. The single piece has strong thermal stress resistance, △T>400 ºC, and is not easy to be damaged.
3. The air distribution is uniform and the turbulence is high, which improves the thermal efficiency and helps to improve the VOC removal efficiency.
4. The porosity is large, the pressure of the air flow through the plate-type honeycomb ceramic is reduced, and the operating cost is reduced.
5. The plate-type honeycomb ceramics are installed at a 90° angle between the upper and lower adjacent layers to change the direction of the airflow, increase the turbulence, and correct the small defects of uneven airflow distribution and improper installation.
RTO equipment mainly deals with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and typical organic waste gases include hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ethers, phenols, esters, nitriles, etc. and their derivatives. Widely used in chemical industry, automotive paint, spray paint drying equipment, organic chemical industry, petrochemical industry, engraving printing, offset printing, food processing and other fields.
